Pink Dawn

Here it is! My first stab at making a music video. I am so grateful to have been able to work with Carmela Antonio – a talented, brave and willing muse. From the art direction to the production to the editing and direction this video is a product of our imagination and hard work. Elena Pacienza did the hair & make-up. And Carmela is a superstar. I am already looking forward to the next video, whatever shape it will take. Thanks for watching. xo

Pink Dawn Video Launch Invite & Teaser

PINKDAWN.releaseparty.poster.FINAL

This past May I was introduced to Carmela Antonio in a coffee shop on Ossington by an angel. Carmela’s vibrant energy and enthusiasm had me hooked right off the bat, but then she loaded up a new song she had recorded, strapped her headphones on me, and inspiration struck. I had been looking for a new artist full of potential to try out my hand at directing with, and Carmela’s muse hit me hard. “Pink Dawn” is the track. It is an ethereal rendition of the fragility of unrequited love. It is streaming now exclusively on carmelaantonio.com. Be sure to have a listen. The video will have it’s inaugural screening with a live performance by Carmela on Sept. 15th at Milk Glass Co. The video debut performance will naturally take place amongst the opening of The Goddess Array Pt. 2 art show. Doors are at 6pm. Show is at 10pm. Party until LATE. We have much to celebrate. Please consider this your formal invitation. RSVP to jennifer@jennifertoole.com. xo

Magenta Foundation: Flash Forward Incubator

I shot the talented teens in Magenta’s Flash Forward Incubator again this year. These are a few touching outtakes. Check out the students’ incredibly raw and personal works of art on the Magenta website HERE. The works will be on display and up for auction on June 23rd at the Clint Roenisch Gallery in Toronto. xo

The Flash Forward Incubator Program is dedicated to supporting emerging artists within the high-school setting. While proposing a new and exciting model for arts education and arts funding, the Incubator Program prepares students for their transition out of high school and into the next phases of their artistic careers.

It’s a beautiful thing to be able to celebrate my momma, singer Jeanine Mackie. I created a new space online where fans can watch her perform and listen to her sweet musical stylings. She’s totally magical. Click through and hear for yourself. xo

Dita Von Teese!

Queen of Burlesque Dita Von Teese performed her infamous martini glass routine at Northbound Leather’s 26th Anniversary Party last night in Toronto at The Phoenix Concert Theatre. God bless Northbound for bringing Dita to Toronto for the first time! She was such perfection it was otherworldly. Dita is all diamonds, silky skin, maddening teases, and old school Glamour with a capital G. I caught the act from the balcony and shot my little heart out. I am so pleased to be able to share a peek of the show with all of you who weren’t able to attend. I have never seen the Phoenix so full! The event was further proof of Toronto’s major come-up right now. Exciting times! xo

The results of my two photoshoots with magnificent soprano Ambur Braid are at long last published on Braid’s shiny new website amburbraid.com. Head over to the site to experience the unique blend of talent, class, seduction, and humour that make up the backbone of this wonderful performer. Braid is currently embodying the role of Queen of the Night in the English National Opera’s run of The Magic Flute. I eagerly await her return to this side of the pond for a well-deserved bottle of champagne to celebrate her suave new site. xo

KoF Insiders: @shegotgame, Ahead of the Trend #ChicksOnFire

MAW_Jan14-17MAW_Jan14-14  MAW_Jan14-23“My goal for 2014 is to be more present in all aspects of my life, whether it’s putting my phone down for more quality personal time, allowing myself downtime to relax or work out, or just focussing on current projects. Being an entrepreneur means I have to be constantly hustling for the next project and I travel a lot so I can get burned out. I need to be more efficient with time and energy, it’s a process.” – Megan Ann Wilson

Truer words were never spoken. Here are a few shots I took of athlete stylist and Dunk 360 fashion director, Megan Ann Wilson aka @shegotgame, as published today by Kicks On Fire. Click through to read the interview and see the full photo spread. Make-up by Bronwen Weiderick.
