Caught on 35mm.
On those sweltering hot late Summer days the best relief is found frolicking in the cool passage of a picturesque waterfall. Veronica and I hit up Hamilton, Ontario in search of our own private oasis. Upstream from Tiffany Falls we found a fall void of the public fray and captured the mermaid moment before we got guests. Check out more of Veronica from our Gemini Series HERE, HERE, and HERE. xo
All the way from Australia, designer Haley Elsaesser flew with her trunks of wearable treats to show off to Toronto. Her show yesterday closed the third day of WMCFashionWeek with a real feast for the eyes. Bold, youthful, fun, prints in candy colours were the backbone of the collection. Add a helmut of silvery sparkled hair on the models and the look was straight out of Harajuku. Every piece shown was fresher than the next. It’s a pleasure to see a designer having so much fun with fashion. In a season so burdened with the ease of wearing all black everything, lending to the dreary landscape of winter, Haley’s show made a playful splash. xo
If you’ve ever wondered about the quality difference between film and digital photography comparing this set of cottage pics to a recent post HERE is a good example. Neither format is better, they’re simply of different qualities. These photos were shot on an old SLR Minolta on 35mm. Which do you like better? xo
