Flowers From My Garden X: First Peek at the Dahlias

My mother-in-law sent me a dozen of her prize-winning dahlia tubers by Canada Post from Vancouver Island in April and they took! After two years of trying and failing at dahlias I am so excited to finally have some coming into bloom! The dinner plate sized blossoms are truly a marvel of nature.
